Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for achieving project excellence? Join Sunwater on a 2-year fixed-term basis as Project Manager within our capital projects team, where you’ll play a vital role in managing the safe, on time and on budget delivery of our ArcFlash program. Partnering with the Construction Program Manager & Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects related to the delivery of a wide ranging ArcFlash mitigation program across a number of assets throughout Regional Queensland.
As Project Manager supporting the ArcFlash program, you will:
- Drive input to the identification, engagement and selection of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in order to meet project needs.
- Deliver effective and efficient project delivery, performance monitoring and reporting, end-to-end project management, cost control, contract preparation, tender preparation and evaluation, construction management, commissioning and handover
- Lead and manage preparation of briefs and managing contracts for the engagement of contractors and consultants for outsourced project and constructions works, and monitoring their performance to ensure quality outputs
- Establish, manage, mobilise and demobilise project specific delivery teams where necessary utilising permanent, temporary and contract personnel
We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record managing all stages of the project lifecycle from developing business cases and planning, through to execution and final delivery. You will hold tertiary qualifications ideally in Electrical Engineering, with further certification in Project Management and have a minimum of 10 years’ project management experience. You will also bring:
- Delivery expertise: Demonstrated engineering project management skills, with experience in analysis of infrastructure projects and the provision of input to the negotiation and development of design and construct of construct only contracts.
- Risk management skills: Extensive technical and risk management skills, with the ability to identify potential asset risks and direct mitigation strategies.
- Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability in leading, coaching and mentoring diverse teams for the project to ensure resources and capabilities are available to effectively prioritise and service the needs of the business.
