About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team at Jenny Jones Rugs' flagship store in Richmond, Victoria. This is a full-time role and will involve supporting the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales performance.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store

Serving clients in person, online and over the phone.

Monitoring and analysing store sales data to identify opportunities for improvement

Implementing visual merchandising and displays to showcase products effectively

Overseeing inventory management and stock control procedures

Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and health & safety regulations

Helping present the products with flipping the piles of rugs with support from colleagues.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory role

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising and sales reporting

Passion for the retail industry and a keen eye for trends and consumer behaviour

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Proficient in Apple Mac Desktop

Must have Drivers License

Available to work one weekend rostered day. ie Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
