Job Summary: Gravity IT Solutions is looking for a Level 1 IT Technician to provide remote and on-site IT support to our clients. You’ll be based in our Teralba office in beautiful Lake Macquarie.

We work with businesses and organisations in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter and across NSW, SA and Australia to implement secure IT systems and increase productivity.

The IT Technician Level 1 plays a crucial role in establishing stable, efficient IT infrastructure systems for our clients and contributing to the to the smooth functioning of our company. As part of our tight-knit team you’ll work with clients in manufacturing, allied health, NFP, finance, education and more.

Responsibilities:

On-site and remote IT support in-person and via email and phone

Diagnose and resolve IT issues including software, hardware, viruses, malware, backup and network problems

Monitor network and system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively

Collaborate with team members to implement solutions and improvements to our IT infrastructure

Mentor and assist Level 1 Trainee, sharing technical knowledge and best practices

Document solutions and create knowledge-based articles for internal and external stake holders

Participate in IT projects, such as system configurations and infrastructure upgrades

Skills & Experience

TAFE Cert IV or greater

Current Microsoft or Cisco certifications will impress us

You’ll need to be a great communicator: an IT specialist who can explain complex things without geek-speak and who is friendly and customer-focused

Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues

Knowledge of networking concepts/protocols with a strong troubleshooting methodology

Familiarity with Backups and DR technologies

Strong experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure is highly desirable

Self-motivated with a passion to learn, excel and contribute to the team

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Leadership and mentoring skills to guide Level 1 Trainee

Drivers license

Hours: 5 days a week, 8.30am-5pm

Job type: Full-time with a 3 month probationary period
