The Package: $52.92 - $58.48 gross per hour ($104,586.04 - $115,562.20 gross per annum) (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) + 11.5% super and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26.
Full-time – 38 hours per week, 9-day fortnight conditions will apply. The position will be required to participate in the on-call roster, with additional overtime and on-call allowance paid for these periods. A leaseback vehicle with private use is available with the position.
The Role: The Utilities Branch manages the water, sewer, recycled water and stormwater networks of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. The Coordinator, Water and Sewer (Queanbeyan) is a key role in the Branch, and operates the networks of Googong, Jerrabomberra and Queanbeyan. Through their 2 Senior Water Industry Operators, 14 Water Industry Operators and specialist contractors, they serve a rapidly growing community of over 55,000 residents and oversee an annual operational budget of around $3 million. On any given day, they or their team could be:
· Constructing a new stormwater main
· Responding to an emergency such as a burst water main or a sewer choke
· Talking to a resident about a concern
· Preparing a quote for private works
