Mount Carmel College is seeking an experienced Student Counsellor to undetake a fixed-term contract at our Primary (Reception - Year 6) Campus while the incumbent is on extended leave from 21 July to 26 September 5025 inclusive.
The successful candidate will provide counselling services to students, offering support for their emotional, and social wellbeing. This role requires a skilled individual who can work closely with students to help them navigate challenges and reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of adolescent development.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling and current registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body is highly desired.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia.
Minimum 2 years' experience in student counselling or youth mental health services, with demonstrated case management skills.
This role is 2 days per week (working days are negotiatable), 6.5 hours per day, 10 weeks, 8:45 am to 3:45 pm.
