Senior Risk & Compliance Manager: Drive Risk Culture and Operational Excellence in a Growing Financial Institution

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in leading Line 1 risk and compliance initiatives at a values-driven, customer-focused financial institution. You'll work closely with senior leadership and business units to embed a strong risk-aware culture and support continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead hindsight reviews and quality assurance across lending, broker, and customer service operations.

Administer and evolve key operational policies, including Credit and Responsible Lending.

Prepare for and participate in external audits and regulatory reviews.

Deliver engaging compliance training and foster a culture of risk awareness.

Develop and maintain Line 1 operational policies and procedures aligned to regulatory standards.

Monitor key risk indicators and manage incident reporting frameworks.

Cultivate collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and with third-party vendors.

What We're Looking For

Substantial experience in risk, compliance, or audit within financial services.

Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and responsible lending obligations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to design and implement practical, user-friendly policies and procedures.

A passion for embedding risk culture and driving operational excellence.

Commitment to ongoing professional development (minimum 20 CPD points annually).
