- Competitive Rate - $76.42 (flat including casual loading)
- Roster - 12-hour shifts working Days & Nights
- Scope - 1st August to 22nd August
- Nightshift Allowance - 15% uplift
The Opportunity
Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking qualified and experienced Special Class Welder's to join us for a shutdown in Tom Price, WA. This role will see you responsible for carrying out structural repairs and modifications to conveyor frames, pulleys, and associated components to support the belt splice process. This includes welding or reinforcing damaged steelwork, installing wear plates and brackets, repairing chutes and guards, and ensuring all work is completed to strict welding procedure specifications and site safety standards. The successful candidates will also join our talent pools to be used in future works across remote and regional WA.
About You
- Trade Certificate - Boilermaker / Fabricator or equivalent
- Construction Induction / White Card
- Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces within 2 years
- Fire Certificate within 4 years
- Prior experience in a FIFO role performing flux core welding
- Current RTIO Inductions are highly desirable
