As a dedicated afternoon shift/night shift Maintenance Fitter at VICTORIA CARPETS, you’ll be responsible for maintaining production machinery and equipment to ensure optimum operating times and productivity, resulting in the highest quality wool carpets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your day-to-day tasks will include:

Performing preventative mechanical maintenance on factory/industrial machinery and supporting infrastructure.

Attend, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair breakdowns as soon as practicable, to minimise production downtime.

Working as part of a team, contributing to daily job planning, break down responses, and the co-ordination of spares availability.

Pro-actively identifying and reporting wear and tear of machines and parts.

General cleaning and housekeeping of work areas and cleaning machinery.

Accurately record work undertaken where required.

Participate in Risk Assessments, Safey training, and support and comply with all Safety policies and procedures.

Necessary requirements:

The ability to lift up to 15kgs

A demonstratable employment history of reliability

Literacy skills for following instructions, responding to maintenance requests and logging data

Willingness to learning new skills to become a multi-skilled team member

Medical assessment, drug and alcohol test and Police Check is required, together with reference checks
