In 2024, Mulyung Aboriginal Corporation (Mulyung) was awarded funding through Aboriginal Investment NT to support the transition of the Emu Point Store to community control for the benefit of the community. The transition was completed in November 2024, and since then, Mulyung has successfully operated the Emu Point Store, employing a pool of 16 local community members. This is concurrent with a growth phase for Mulyung, within which the Board aspires to run and improve the creche, develop an arts centre and various other business opportunities. The increase in workload and complexity for Mulyung means that we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill a General Manager position to oversee daily management of the Emu Point Store, lead and guide Mulyung to progress the vision of the Board, and build momentum in commercial and community development opportunities.

This role represents an exciting opportunity to utilise your community development and engagement skills to improve outcomes for community members in the remote Aboriginal community of Nganambala by supporting and empowering the Mulyung Board. You will be well supported with onboarding into this role, with a highly engaged Chair and Board to support your introduction to the community and Mulyung’s work.
