Job Title: Claims Administration and Income Support Officers (APS3, APS4, APS6)
Location: Canberra
Clearance Required: Baseline (or ability to obtain)
Contract Duration: 6-12 months
Positions Available: 7

MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN TO APPLY.

Overview: An Australian Government agency is seeking professionals to fill multiple contract roles within its Claims Administration and Income Support team. These positions support income payments, reconciliations, and debt recovery. Providers will assess and recommend candidates, perform at least one reference check, and verify clearance. Additional checks may be requested.

Team Function: The team delivers key financial services to support claims operations, including processing incapacity payments and accounts payable, reconciling financial data, resolving anomalies in line with policy, and managing overpayments and third-party recoveries.

APS3 - Income Administration Officers
Openings: 2 x General (6 & 12 months), 1 x Debt Recovery (6 months)
Duties: Process income payments and maintain records, support receipting, data entry, and debt recovery, meet KPIs under supervision.
Requirements: Understanding of income support processes, ability to work to procedures with some autonomy, admin and finance experience.
Desirable: Experience in finance/insurance, accounting knowledge, Baseline clearance or ability to obtain.

APS4 - Income Support Officers
Openings: 3 x 6 months
Duties: Calculate/process incapacity benefits, conduct assessments, engage stakeholders, support compliance outcomes.
Requirements: Financial or processing experience, strong analytical, teamwork, and communication skills.
Desirable: Experience in insurance/claims, financial skills, Baseline clearance or ability to obtain.

APS6 - Payments and Recoveries Officer
Opening: 1 x 6 months
Duties: Oversee payments and recoveries, manage payroll/debt recovery, support staff, resolve complex issues.
Requirements: Experience in auditing, finance, or accounting, leadership and stakeholder skills, strong communication and policy knowledge.
Desirable: Claims/insurance experience, accounting qualifications, Baseline clearance or ability to obtain.
