The Role

As a Design Manager within the Sustainable Infrastructure group, you will act as the Primary Engineering Representative and lead multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver value-for-money, accurate, and timely design solutions. This pivotal role oversees engineering outputs across a wide range of projects, championing lean design principles, safety in design, and innovation to optimise asset performance and customer outcomes.
You’ll guide design teams, influence internal stakeholders, and support a culture of excellence through structured processes, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.

You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in multi-disciplinary infrastructure design, project coordination, and technical leadership
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to challenge, influence, and drive innovation
• A track record of delivering quality engineering solutions aligned with cost, risk, and schedule expectations
• A commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning

Desirable: Project Management qualifications and experience auditing technical documentation.
