Sustainable Infrastructure System (SIS) is a Adelaide headquartered advanced manufacturer of innovative FRP [Fibre Reinforced Polymer] bridges and panels for the civil infrastructure sector. We work on a diverse range of projects and are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Designer to join our team in Adelaide.

This position will be filled by a technical draftsman to develop precise CAD drawings for FRP infrastructure components, specifically composite and metallic parts within bridges and bridge decks.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D/3D technical drawings and schematics of metal and composite parts.

Ensure drawings comply with standards: tolerances, surface finishes, layering, etc.

Use SolidWorks other CAD tools to produce engineering-grade documents.

Coordinate with Australian and European [Dutch] engineers and project managers on design and manufacturing requirements.

Requirements:

Formal technical drafting education (e.g., MBO or equivalent).

Strong understanding of standard mechanical parts and drafting norms.

Mastery of professional 3D CAD tools.

Methodical, persistent, and detail-oriented.

Experience in infrastructure or maritime projects is a plus.

A minimum of 2 years of Senior Designer experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to work well under pressure to assist a team deliver projects on time and within budget.
