About the role

As a Senior Taxation Accountant /SMSF at Axis Accounting, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive tax and compliance services to our growing portfolio of clients. Based in our Petersham office in NSW, this full-time position will see you work closely with our team to ensure our clients' taxation and SMSF needs are efficiently and effectively managed.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, including BAS and IAS statements

Providing expert advice on taxation matters, including income tax, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax

Overseeing the establishment, administration and compliance of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)

Liaising with clients, ATO and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate tax lodgements

Researching and interpreting tax legislation to identify planning opportunities and mitigate risks

What we're looking for

8+ years' experience as a Taxation Accountant with SMSF Experience and Family Groups

In-depth knowledge of Australian taxation laws, regulations and compliance requirements

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification

Strong problem-solving, analytical and attention to detail skills

It is important that you have in Proficiency in Xero / XPM. BGL Super and FYI is an advantage.
