About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in automotive testing and structural analysis, you will play a key role in the design, assessment, validation, and continuous improvement of vehicle systems, components, and fit-outs.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in a broad range of activities including:
Designing and conducting test plans for vehicle durability, load cases, and component validation
Performing structural analysis using tools such as FEA to validate compliance with design standards
Supporting product development and integration activities across automotive platforms
Collaborating with manufacturing and production teams to ensure design feasibility and performance
Contributing to technical documentation, reports, and certification packages
About You
You are an adaptable and solution-oriented engineer with:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in automotive testing, durability programs, or compliance validation
Strong understanding of mechanical structures, materials, and stress analysis
Proficiency in engineering analysis tools (e.g. SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or similar)
Knowledge of ADRs, VSBs, or other vehicle compliance standards (desirable)
Clear communication skills and the ability to work across teams to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes
Eligibility for or holding CPEng/RPEQ (advantageous but not essential)
