About the role

Work as part of a diverse team with multiple departments and functions. Contribute your knowledge and skills in all things mechanical and electrical. Test for safety and complete required paperwork.

Key Responsibilities for the role

Diagnose and repair faults in small engines (e.g. forklifts, small construction machinery, pumps, generators, and other portable machinery).

Perform regular servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment.

Strip, clean, rebuild, and reassemble engines and mechanical components.

Operate tools and testing equipment to assess performance and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.

Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and report any safety or mechanical issues to supervisors or clients.

Skills & experience

Technical Expertise: Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with small engines, including experience with disassembly, repair, and reassembly of mechanical components.

Hands-On Experience: Demonstrated practical experience in servicing a variety of small motor machinery such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, and similar equipment.

Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments essential for accurate repairs.

Safety & Compliance: Knowledgeable about industry safety standards and practices, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Communication & Record Keeping: Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members, alongside a strong track record in maintaining detailed maintenance and repair records.

For this role, we are looking at offering a Full-time position, 38 hours per week on an hourly rate of $35 -$45 ( negotiable based on experienced and qualification) plus super.
