Due to our continuing expansion, RV World Canberra, requires an enthusiastic member to join our Service Department in a Mechanic Allrounder. The successful candidate will join the RV World Canberra team at their new large workshop in Hume, ACT.

The Role

As a Mechanic at RV World Canberra you will play a key part in ensuring our customers hit the road safely and confidently. You will work with a range of new and used caravans, completing everything from pre-delivery checks to servicing caravans and custom accessory fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities

Servicing, repairing, installation and diagnosing of repairs to caravans and motorhomes.

Repairs: Conduct repairs on caravan interiors as well as external bodywork.

Troubleshooting: Identify and rectify faults in heating, water, gas, and electrical systems including 12-volt systems.

Pre-delivery Inspections: Carry out inspections to ensure caravans are ready for delivery to customers.

Maintain a clean and organised environment.

Ensure Job Cards and Time costs are met as allocated.

Carry out tasks in a safe and efficient manner to the highest possible standards.

Meet with clients to understand their concerns regarding vehicle issues and provide solutions.

Maintain detailed work logs, repairs, and maintenance records for accountability and tracking purposes.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude or engineering background is advantageous.

Relevant experience in caravan or motorhome maintenance is preferred.

Background in kitchen fitting, boat building, electrical or plumbing installations may also be considered.

Electrical (12-volt) and or plumbing experience.
