About the role

Paramount Structural Engineers' is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the design and delivery of a diverse range of structural engineering projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

What you'll be doing

Undertake structural analysis and design calculations for a variety of building materials and systems including timber, steel, concrete & aluminium.

Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications and documentation

Collaborate with architects, builders, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality

Conduct site visits and inspections as required

Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent

8 - 12 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design

Proficient in the use of structural analysis softwares

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Thorough understanding of Australian building codes and standards

Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a variety of structural engineering projects
