About the role

My Client is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist Operator to join their dynamic team in Queanbeyan, NSW. As a full-time CNC Machinist Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture high-quality parts and components for their diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts to precise specifications

Programming CNC machines and performing necessary adjustments and modifications to optimise machine performance

Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accurate and efficient machining

Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to maintain optimal operating conditions

Collaborating with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements

Ensuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to quality standards and production schedules

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Operator, with a proven track record of operating a variety of CNC machines

Strong technical understanding of CNC machine programming, setup, and operation

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and optimise machine performance

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in CNC machining or a related field
