The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. This role requires someone with technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently while upholding industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, tuning, brake, batteries, gear boxes, spark plugs, lights, panels, tyres, and mags, electrical, steering, and suspension systems

• Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues with vehicles and recommend appropriate repairs

• Complete all repairs and services in a timely and efficient manner, while ensuring the highest level of quality.

• Identify, rectify arid/or report quality deviations, faults, or delays to your supervisor immediately

• Follow established procedures to ensure conformity with established operational practices

• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as required

• Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles, including parts used, time spent, and any additional recommendations for future repairs.

· Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles, including estimated repair times and costs.

• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the services provided.

• Strive for continuous improvement and participate in performance management and reviews and as required.

• Disassemble vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment in accordance with established procedures

• Identify and remove reusable parts such as engines, transmissions, electrical components, and body parts

• Inspect and evaluate parts for quality, functionality, and marketability

• Sort, clean, and organise salvaged parts for storage or shipment

• Collaborate with other team members, such as mechanics, to identify and locate specific parts

• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the work area, tools, and equipment.

• Adhere to company policies and regulations, including environmental and recycling requirements

• Actively participate in employee toolbox talks, meetings, and training.

• Develop and maintain strong, constructive, effective, and professional working relationships and communication with team members,

• customers, and suppliers

• Maintain open and collaborative team communication to ensure all processes and systems are upheld in accordance with operational and customer needs.

Requirements:

Experience: More than 3 years of experience

Education: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Ability to operate Service Information Computer Systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Flexibility to undertake additional duties as required.

Salary and Benefits:

· The offered salary is $75,615 per annum plus superannuation.
