The Lecturer– Medical Laboratory Science contributes to a range of programs offered by the Faculty of Health (including the Medical Laboratory Science and Biomedical Sciences programs).

About the Position
As the Lecturer – Medical Laboratory Science, you will make a significant contribution to the teaching, research and administrative activities in Medical Laboratory Science, specifically related to histology, histochemistry and histopathology. This will include contribution to unit and course development at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels, along with continuing research activities and community engagement activities. The role will be expected to engage in high-quality teaching and research and make a significant contribution to the Medical Sciences discipline within the Faculty.

About You
To be successful, you will require:
• A PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing appropriate in a field relevant to medical laboratory science
• Demonstrated record of significant industry experience relevant to medical laboratory science, including diagnostic laboratory experience relevant to histology/anatomical pathology.
• Demonstrated experience in tertiary education in medical laboratory science disciplines, including the development and delivery of units/courses and student resources (including for online and face to face teaching) and laboratory classes within the context and requirements of a quality education provider.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, cultural safety and the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical science education and professional practice.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS) is desired.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of $112,710 to $133,262 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $131,870 to $155,916 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
