If you're a C# developer with experience in Games, CGI, or Animation industries, and you're looking for a new and exciting gig, we want to hear from you! The successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their experience by helping to mentor Junior developers as well as deepening their knowledge by working with and learning from some industry veterans.

Day to day duties will include:

API Development & Maintenance

Design, build and maintain a C#-based API using .Net 8 and Entity Framework to support the studio’s animation pipeline.

Collaborate with technical directors to implement API functionality to facilitate features they are developing

Desktop Tool Development & Maintenance

Work with technical directors to develop and deploy custom Windows-based tools using C# to automate repetitive tasks, increase artist efficiency, and ensure consistency across projects.

Animation Pipeline Integration

Collaborate with IT, software developers and technical directories to ensure seamless integration of the API and tools with the studio’s animation pipeline.

Oversee the implementation of updates and new technologies into the pipeline without disrupting ongoing projects.

Training & Documentation

Create comprehensive documentation for tools, processes, and best practices to facilitate team training and onboarding.

Work with technical directors to ensure they are proficient in using the API and tools.

Asset & Data Management

Manage asset tracking and versioning systems to ensure data integrity, reduce file redundancy, and optimize storage usage.

Work with the IT department to establish a robust backup and archival strategy for all production assets.

Pipeline Evolution

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating and implementing new tools, libraries, and frameworks to keep the software cutting-edge.

Contribute to long-term strategies and future-proofing to accommodate the studio's growing needs.

Maintain Software Standards

Ensure source code is well maintained and documented

Use industry standard coding practices to ensure source code is optimised and easily understood.

Implement deployment and testing processes to ensure efficient rollout of changes to the studio

The ideal candidate possesses:

Proficiency in C#

Experience with using .Net Core to develop web APIs

Proficiency with Entity Framework for interfacing with an SQL Database

Experience with developing Windows apps using WPF

Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate solutions effectively across departments.

Experience with version control and software deployment tools

Evidence of utilising a TDD methodology in a production environment

Experience working with C# testing frameworks

And desirable skills include:

Experience with Python

Experience with 3D asset creation tools
