About the role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for our operational teams, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence. A key aspect of this role will involve supporting and mentoring team members from the Philippines, ensuring a culturally inclusive and effective training environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate inductions and deliver high quality safety and on-the-job training across our transport and hire divisions
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
Adapt training methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of our team members from the Philippines
Evaluate training outcomes and continuously work to improve delivery based on feedback and performance
Collaborate with team members and operations managers to identify training needs and skills gaps
Assist in maintaining accurate training records in compliance with industry regulations
Be first point of contact for all their work and personal needs
Travel regularly to our depots around WA to ensure all team members are meeting the expected training requirements.
About You
Cert IV in Training and Assessment (Essential)
Previous experience training employees in the transport industry
Previous experience in training and mentoring team members from the Philippines (Highly regarded)
Sound understanding of load restraint, CoR and Main Roads legislation
Strong understanding of WHS, safe operating procedures and industry compliance requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-cultural training skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Ability to identify and develop future team leaders
Sound organisational skills and the ability to adapt with competing priorities
A continuous improvement mindset
Exposure to hire industry or transport and logistics is highly advantageous
