Workshop Fitter (Tullamarine)

About the job:

We are seeking an experienced fitter to join our team at our Melbourne workshop located in Tullamarine

The ideal candidates will possess mechanical knowledge and experience, along with basic welding skills. Additional advantages include the ability to obtain an ASIC, forklift license, and MR truck license

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance tasks on various equipment and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify any issues or defects.
• Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary.
• Assist with workshop operations and support other team members.
• Cover airport site work as required, and potentially cover day/afternoon shifts when needed.

Requirements:

• Mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Basic welding skills.
• Ability to obtain an ASIC.
• Forklift license and (preferred).
• MR truck license (preferred).
• Able to cover airport site work as required from time to time potentially cover day/afternoon shift if staff are on leave, etc.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Benefits:

• Casual hourly rate of $50 + Super
• Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00PM
• Temp-to-perm
