A rewarding opportunity has opened for a Multicultural Domestic, Family & Sexual Violence worker to deliver comprehensive support to survivors and individuals at risk of experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence. Utilise your skills in crisis and early intervention, case management and advocacy to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

The role is a fixed term contract/full-time position based in Wollongong CBD. A competitive salary is on offer of SCHCADS Level 5, plus Super and Salary Packaging benefits.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
•
Qualifications in a relevant field such as community services or social work; at minimum Cert IV in community services or equivalent
•
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in domestic and family violence service delivery including casework and early intervention programs
•
Experience in organising and facilitating group-based sessions and projects
•
Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system including the child protection system.
•
Understanding of social and settlement issues affecting refugees and CALD communities living in the Illawarra Region
•
Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
•
Demonstrated computer skills alongside skill and experience in utilising electronic databases
Desirable:
•
Proven effective written and verbal communication skills in a community language
