Fire Estimator / Designer – Minor Work

This is a role for someone who knows how to deliver. We’re working with a well-established, privately owned fire protection business that’s growing steadily and investing in good people. With 19 new hires and 5 internal promotions in the last 12 months, they’re adding to a tight-knit Sydney team with a strong pipeline of secured work across minor projects.

The Role You’ll be quoting and helping deliver fire system upgrades, minor works, and fit-outs — generally up to $1M in value. Estimating across sprinklers, hydrants, detection and warning systems, and sometimes providing input on design where needed. It’s a mix of desk time, internal collaboration, and working closely with clients and builders to get jobs over the line — and done right.

You’ll be reading and reviewing construction drawings and tender documents, pricing accurately using estimating software, and supporting your team across the lifecycle of the job.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience estimating or designing fire systems (sprinkler fitter background welcome)
• Confident working with AS2118, AS1670, AS2419 and BCA
• Someone who knows how to read a job properly, spot risk, and price it smart
• Experience estimating projects up to $1M
• FSD accreditation or design experience is highly regarded
• You’ve got pride in your work, keep things organised, and follow through
