About the role

Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, the successful applicant will service our business client base via the provision of a blend of entry level tax and accounting functions:

preparation of non-complex tax returns

pre-accounting work

some bookkeeping

The successful applicant will support our accounting team in not only meeting statutory deadlines but creating a client experience that exceeds expectations.

Previous Experience

Tax Return preparation experience:

individuals (strong)

partnerships & sole traders (competent)

companies & trusts (minimal → developing)

Strong accounting pre-work skills including:

preparation of EOY workpapers

reconciliation of ATO accounts

Strong bookkeeping experience:

payroll

BAS / IAS / TPAR

working across a wide range of bookkeeping software solutions

ability to coach and advise clients on bookkeeping and software options

Tertiary Qualifications

Minimum - completed a Diploma in Accounting

Preferred - progress toward completing a Degree in Accounting
