The Team:
The Screening, Recruitment and Cancer Prevention Unit collaborates with healthcare providers, stakeholders and Tasmanian communities to raise awareness about the importance of cancer prevention, screening and early detection.
The role:
- Plan, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate recruitment and education activities for Population Screening and Cancer Prevention, including responding to public enquiries on screening programs and related cancer issues.
- Prepare submissions, discussion papers and report on the recruitment and education functions of Population Screening and Cancer Prevention.
- Conduct face to face recruitment and education activities for community and professional groups.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise in health promotion, education, and cancer prevention.
- Represent Population Screening and Cancer Prevention on committees or working groups as required.

You will need:
- Demonstrated experience and skills in health promotion and education program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Proven ability to identify key stakeholders and engage them in collaborative planning processes to deliver optimal outcomes.
- Ability to be self-motivated, use initiative and work cooperatively in a team environment, including prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, researching, and appropriately filtering information.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, Part Time, day worker positions available, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

- Current Driver’s Licence
Please note, infrequent intrastate travel is a requirement of this position.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
