Maxima is currently seeking various highly motivated individuals as a Project Lead for one of our government clients.

This is a hands-on Project Lead opportunity to work at the forefront of a major organisational transformation. You’ll drive the delivery of a business-led change program focused on clarifying, transitioning, and realigning roles and responsibilities for asset lifecycle management across multiple departments.

You’ll work closely with executive stakeholders, team leaders, and subject matter experts to coordinate project milestones, embed changes and ensure lasting benefits realisation — improving the way assets (infrastructure, roads, parks, etc.) are planned, maintained, and governed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of the asset role transition project across multiple departments.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, action logs, RAID logs, and implementation schedules.
• Track deliverables, monitor progress, and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner.
• Engage and liaise with a wide range of internal stakeholders (e.g. Infrastructure, Water, Parks, Governance, and Finance teams).
• Facilitate working groups, workshops, and steering committee updates.
• Prepare briefing materials and status updates for executives and leadership.
• Coordinate the roll-out of newly defined roles and responsibilities, including support for training, communications and adoption activities.
• Work with change and training teams to embed practices and ensure sustained outcomes
• Assist in mapping and documenting existing and future-state processes.
• Track and report on agreed program outcomes, including improvements in accountability, service efficiency, and decision-making.
• Work with data and business analysts to measure key performance indicators and realisation of program benefits.
• Contribute ideas to improve how change is implemented and sustained across departments.
• Share learnings and insights from delivery to help inform future phases of transformation.

Your experience in project delivery, stakeholder engagement and business process improvement means you’re confident navigating ambiguity and aligning multiple stakeholders around a shared outcome

Desirable

• Exposure to asset management, government, utilities or infrastructure-related projects
• Qualifications in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK)
• Graduate Certificate or equivalent in Project or Business Management (current study accepted
