Rontrans Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time ongoing Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our family-owned business for local work in the Gladstone region.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent driving record. Hold a Heavy Combination or Multi Combination License. Rontrans Pty Ltd boasts a friendly workplace focused on ensuring the safety and efficiency of drivers.

Responsibilities

Operate Heavy Vehicles up to Heavy Combinations.

Drive vehicles over specified routes, adhering to time schedules.

Follow traffic laws, and regulations, and monitor road conditions to ensure safety.

Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report any maintenance issues.

Maintain accurate records such as logbooks, trip records, and other related documents.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers.

Unload and load cargo and check to prevent accidents and damage.

Requirements

Must hold a valid Heavy Combination or Multi Combination License.

Minimum of 5 years of heavy vehicle driving experience is an advantage.

Experience with truck and dog trailers is preferred, but not essential.

Clean driving records are an advantage.

Solid knowledge of Carrier Safety Regulations.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
