At Liberty Industrial, we are redefining excellence in demolition, decommissioning, closure studies and remediation. Our commitment to environmental sustainability and technological innovation, coupled with our talented and passionate team, has positioned us at the forefront of the industry.

About the Role

As a Graduate Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our project delivery team, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle. This is a diverse and fast-paced role where you’ll support the coordination of engineering design, quality planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.

On any given day, you might be managing procurement tasks, assisting with subcontractor supervision, preparing critical project documents like WMS and SWMS, contributing to scheduling and planning, or carrying out field inspections to help monitor project performance and outcomes.

This is a site-based role, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work. You'll play a key role in helping the team achieve commercial, schedule, quality, safety, environmental, and technical goals, all while building your career in a supportive and safety-focused environment!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of study activities under senior guidance.
  • Engage with existing and potential clients to contribute to business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support engineering design activities.
  • Foster relationships with external engineering consultants and contribute to project opportunities.
  • Adhere to HSEQ policies and actively participate in our culture of innovation.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation at various project stages.
  • Contribute new ideas to maximize our closure study capabilities.
  • Perform administrative tasks and support the team with reporting and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for engineering and a drive to grow in a dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:

  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or a related engineering discipline from an Australian university, or a qualification recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Exposure to engineering design or closure study projects, whether through hands-on internships or academic work.
  • A solid understanding of project management principles.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office and strong general IT acumen.
  • A keen eye for detail, a commitment to meeting deadlines, and a collaborative mindset.
  • A willingness to learn and actively contribute to a safety-first culture.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience with GIS systems.
  • Previous exposure to the construction industry.
  • Quantity surveying skills.
