ROLE/DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and support daily radiopharmacy operations, including order receipts, production, compounding, dispensing, and distribution.
Prepare, compound, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Conduct quality control testing of radiopharmaceuticals and equipment, ensuring radiochemical purity before patient administration.
Elute generators and perform radiolabeling with Tc-99m or other radionuclides as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for radiopharmaceutical production, compounding, and distribution.
Ensure proper inventory management and reduce wastage of radiopharmaceuticals and related supplies.
Assist in radiation safety monitoring and adhere to all safety protocols.
Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of doses to customers with proper labelling and shipping documentation.
Participate in the development and review of operational procedures and policies.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pharmacy, complying with environmental monitoring and sterile compounding standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Pharmacy
General AHPRA Registeration (With no restrictions. Cannot cover internship hours).
12 months’ minimum experience in any Pharmacist role.
While experience in GMP, regulated settings, or quality roles is an advantage (and preferred), it’s not essential - full training will be provided.
Understanding of sterile compounding and aseptic techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.
No weekend shifts; closed on public holidays.
Overnight shifts are required in this role, and will be on a weekly rotation basis to day shifts.
Alternating Shifts:
Rotate between night shifts (2:00 AM – 10:00 AM) and day shifts (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM), typically switching weekly.
Night Shifts:
These early morning shifts are truly overnight - giving you afternoons and evenings free to relax, avoid peak traffic, and manage personal time.
Day Shifts:
Starting at 10 AM means you avoid early morning /evening rush hours, helping to reduce commuting stress and improve your daily routine.
