The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team supports the University's programs to provide professional experience, clinical placements, internships and industry projects to students as part of their course. At Murdoch University, WIL is an explicit feature of our undergraduate and post graduate programs, with an emphasis on student centred learning.
Your New Role!
As the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the WIL team. Working closely with the WIL Manager, you'll help deliver meaningful student experiences by coordinating practical placements and building strong relationships across the University and with external partners.
Your key responsibilities will include -
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the WIL team and manage complex student placement queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, government, and community partners to grow and sustain WIL opportunities.
- Provide accurate advice and support to students and staff and maintain placement-related resources.
- Oversee WIL communications and contribute to promotional materials and events.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) position attracts a remuneration of $87,000 - $105,000 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in people leadership, development, engagement and management, with the demonstrated skills to motivate, inspire, and mobilise teams to create a positive workplace culture and deliver quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully coordinating work placement programs or other WIL activities.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office applications and placement applications (e.g. SONIA) and specified University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new packages as appropriate.
- Demonstrated high level of organisational, time and workload management skills, including the ability to use initiative, assume responsibility for tasks and projects, resolve problems and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation and/or external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team environment and flexibility to undertake a diverse range of tasks with minimal supervision.
- A commitment to equity and social justice principles.
