We are looking for a dedicated Educator who is passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care to support the learning and development of the children attending our service. You will become a member of a very large team of over 25 Educators and will be required to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders. You will be required to embrace the Centre’s philosophy for learning and development which guides all aspects of our program and practice.

Our Centre

Kookaburra is a Not for Profit Early Education Centre located in Andergrove, Mackay. We have been Educating and Caring for children for over 39 years. We provide all our Educators with opportunities to further their knowledge and skills with regular PD and in servicing. Many of our Educators have been with the Centre for 10 years or more indicating a great work culture.

Remuneration

Based upon qualifications and experience. (Children's Services Award 2010)

Above award wages are offered in the form of weekly bonuses.

Paid RDO once per month

Annual leave as per the award

Hours of Duty

Rolling roster of early, middle and late shifts between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (dependent on current qualifications) totalling 40 hours.

Desirable Qualifications and Legal Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

working towards with previous ECEC experience accepted

Current working with children check or exemption card. (Blue Card)

Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (Early Childhood Specific)

Current knowledge of the NQF (National Quality Framework), EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework) are desirable but not necessary.
