Due to our rapid expansion, we are now looking for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our finance team and grow alongside us. With a proven track record in a similar position, you will provide high-level support to our Finance Manager, Assistant Accountants, and extended finance team.

About the Position

This is a full-time, in-house position where you'll manage the payroll function and handle the ad-hoc accounting needs of our business. You will have the chance to collaborate with various teams, including installations, sales, and operations, as well as coordinate with our offshore accounting support teams.

Specifics of the Role

Processing fortnightly payroll, adhering to award, and EA guidelines:
- Accurately processing the fortnightly commission module for Australia-wide sales.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors.
- Processing deductions, contributions, and reimbursements.
- Enter timesheets and collate shift information.
- Provide guidance and promptly resolve enquiries.
- File and organise documentation.

Support across accounts payable and receivable.

Assisting the Finance Manager, provide support with financial reporting, month end tasks, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.

Ad-hoc administration, assists with various finance-related administrative tasks as needed, including covering team members on leave.

About You

We're seeking a driven professional with:

Prior experience in a similar payroll & accounts or bookkeeping position.

Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and super

Experience with Xero and solid Excel skills

Clear communication with a proactive, can-do mindset

Juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Bonus points if you’ve worked with commission structures and multiple awards

Full Australian working rights required
