QuantX Labs, a leader in precision timing and quantum sensing, is looking for a Research Chemist to lead a key project in the development of organic coatings for glass and dielectric materials using physical vapour deposition (PVD). This role is critical in delivering our next-generation quantum technologies and offers hands-on experience in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

About the Role:

As a Research Chemist, you will:

Formulate and apply surface treatments on glass substrates

Develop and test PVD methods for organic coatings

Develop alkali metal vapour cells under vacuum conditions

Maintain precise lab procedures and documentation

Work across teams to support quantum sensor development

What You’ll Need:

PhD or Master’s in Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar

Strong lab-based research experience, ideally with PVD or surface coatings

Experience with assembly and sealing under vacuum conditions ideal.
