Rise is seeking a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with the heart and skills to make a difference in the Perth community, build strong connections and create genuine outcomes for clients.

Sustainable caseloads – 5 hours of daily billables, giving you space to deliver high-quality support.

Professional development - Rise provides paid clinical supervision with a supervisor of the employees choice

Flexibility focus – 7.6 hours per day between 7am and 6pm (covering 9am to 3pm core hours). Work-from home and our Rise Offices (including Helen’s Place, Middle Swan) when not in the Community.

👉🏼 What a typical day might include

Developing and implementing Behaviour Support plans in line with NDIS funding for participants who choose Rise and working with all relevant parties, including clients, family members, guardians, and external providers.

Creating Behaviour Support strategies across service delivery

Informing internal review of restrictive practices and restraints, including development of action plans and reduction or phase-out plans and informing internal processes to ensure legislative obligations for authorisation of restrictive practices are met

Completing functional behaviour assessments

Creating policies and procedures that support all of Rise to deliver services within a contemporary Behaviour Support framework

Providing expertise and advice to inform staff development of strengths-based positive support practices

Assisting participants in addressing underlying causes of behaviours of concern or challenging behaviours in a way that reduces the occurrence and impact of these on their life

Working to reduce or eliminate the use of restrictive practices

👉🏼 The need-to-have…

Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:

Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (essential)

Strong understanding of standards and legislation governing use of restrictive practices in Western Australia

Proven capability in developing, implementing, monitoring Behaviour Support plans

Understanding and experience in the use of relevant assessment tools

✅ Formalities (The serious stuff!)

Appointments to this position require a NDIS worker screening check and working with children check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
