We are seeking Degree qualified Early Childhood Teachers to provide casual cover across our 5 services managed and owned by Banyule, these include 2 stand-alone kindergartens and 3 long day care centres.
Covering sick leave and annual leave for Early Childhood Teachers across 5 services, you'll be supporting and interacting with children, families and peers and implementing a 4 yr old funded kindergarten program.
You'll provide an innovative and culturally appropriate program that assists the overall development of individual children, ensuring the care and education program aligns with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy. You'll ensure a child-safe environment and contribute to a culture of child safety by fulfilling the responsibilities and requirements of Council's Child Safe Policy and procedures.
What you'll bring - skills, experience and certificates:
- A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (Degree in Early Childhood) or qualifications deemed appropriate by the Australian Early Childhood Association are minimum requirements.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
- Current, recognised Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates, with CPR updates completed in the last 12 months.
- Awareness of cultural needs of families.
- Effective communication with families, professionals, and people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
- Conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Mandatory Pre-employment screenings:
- Qualifications and certificates as above.
- Mandatory reporting certificate

- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working with Children's Check
We offer:
- Hourly rate from $49.17 to $56.84 per hour (dependent on experience).
