About the role
As a Team Leader, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team who provide supported playgroups, family and targeted support and early childhood education to families with children under 8 years of age. You will oversee our Women’s Space in Labrador to provide women in the opportunities for social connection, skill development, and practical assistance programs as well as our volunteer run programs.
You will work as part of strong and collaborative leadership team with various opportunities to be autonomous and lead on projects which meet funding outcomes.

Skills and Experience
We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you’ll have:
- A degree/qualification in Social Work, Human services or social welfare or other relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and leadership with an approachable, transparent and responsive style in building positive team culture.
- Comprehensive management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines and conflict resolution.
- Sound understanding of the principles of integrated service delivery and an ability to undertake a leadership role with multi disciplines of teams.
- Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities and risk indicators such as drug and alcohol use, domestic and family violence, mental health issues, and the impact of trauma on child behavior and development.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross functional way with teams, peers and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
