About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Trades Assistant to join our team at SCA Engineering Pty Ltd in Emu Heights, NSW. As a Trades Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our skilled tradespeople in the delivery of high-quality finished products. We fabricate a wide range of products mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel. This is a full-time position with a small team of highly skilled tradesman.

What you'll be doing

Assisting tradespeople with a variety of tasks, including equipment setup, material handling, and material preparation.

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to ensure optimal productivity and safety

Use of power tools to clean and prep material for fabrication

Use of plant equipment like CNC plasma, CNC saws, CNC drills as directed

Following all relevant safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself and your colleagues

Contributing to the efficient completion of projects by performing a range of support duties as required

What we're looking for

A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a willingness to learn and follow established procedures

Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively as part of a team

A positive attitude and the ability to take direction from experienced tradespeople

Be able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously

Some prior experience in a similar role would be highly regarded

A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport.
