Fuse Recruitment are seeking experienced Trades Assistants for an immediate start to work in a project located in Barangaroo next to Sydney CBD. Day shift, Monday to Friday paying $38 p/hr.
These roles will require you to have a scissor lift ticket as well as completing general Trades Assistant duties onsite.

The Role: Trades Assistant

This role is a commercial construction site based in Barangaroo and will see you completing Trades Assistant based work assisting trades people and builders in installing Audio Visual equipment such as brackets and speakers, cabling systems and electrical components. You will utilise a Scissor lift in this role as well to raise materials to be installed.

Your main duties will involve:

• Raising materials for installation such as lighting, brackets and wiring / cabling

• Scissor lift operation
• Assisting trades people onsite
• Assembling equipment
• Assisting the installation team in installing theatre equipment such as speaker brackets, lighting, cabling and hoists
• Use of both hand and power tools
• Following and reading plans
• General TA duties
• General daily site clean up

Shift Available:
Day:

• 7am starts
• 3pm finishes
• Monday to Friday
• $38 p/hr + Super

The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• Must have a valid Scissor lift ticket
• Site based Trades Assistant experience is a must
• Must have a construction white card
• Hand and power tool experience is a must
• Experience following and reading plans for assembling products
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• Heavy lifting up to 20 kgs
• Must be able to commit to these roles in an ongoing capacity
