Early Childhood Educator / After-School Nanny based on Early Childhood Educator / After-School Nanny (East Brisbane)

Location: East Brisbane (Childcare Centre) Morningside (Home), QLD

Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 7-7:30 PM

Are you a passionate Early Childhood Educator seeking extra hours after your regular childcare or kindy role? We’re looking for an experienced and nurturing educator to join our family for after-school support and one-on-one developmental care.

About the Role:

Meet one of the parents at kindy in East Brisbane at 4:00 pm and accompany our 21-month-old son home.

Provide high-quality, one-on-one engagement to enhance his communication, social skills, and overall development.

Attend to his daily/evening needs, including feeding (food will be cooked and provided), bathing, and settling him into his evening routine that includes lots of reading, play and communication.

Finish at 7-7:30 pm each day.

What We’re Looking For:

A qualified Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III, Diploma, or higher) or currently studying towards a relevant qualification.

Very strong English communication skills – this is non-negotiable as clear communication is essential for language development as our son is developing his language.

Experience caring for children aged 18 months – 3 years, ideally in a home or kindy setting.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to the agreed schedule (Monday to Friday, 4– 7 - 7:30pm). You must be willing to tell your Childcare/Kindy about this commitment and ensuring they understand you are unavailable from the start time.

A nurturing and positive approach to engaging with young children.

Requirements:

Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)

First Aid, CPR, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis training (preferred)

A valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport.

Excellent English communication skills

There is an opportunity to accompany the family on overseas holidays whilst receiving your usual pay with flights, accomodation and meal covered (except those meals not had with the family). This will be discussed at length and only available after 6-months of employment for the right candidate. Personal expenses won't be covered.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications from $35 - $40/hr.
