About this role

Working as part of a team of health planning professionals within the Strategic Capital Planning and Asset Management Branch you will gain exposure to the process NSW Health undertakes to determine how capital projects are planned, prioritised, determined, constructed and commissioned.

You will have the opportunity to participate in projects and activities, research and provide advice in relation to strategic capital planning matters for NSW Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies to support the achievement of NSW Health’s objectives.

We are looking for an individual willing to develop and support the implementation of best practice strategic planning, capital planning, policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health. Previous experience in health service planning, health policy and or government experience would be considered advantageous for this role.

Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $101,947 - $112,849 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

  • Reporting to the Principal Planning and Policy Officer, Strategic Capital Planning and Asset Management Branch, you will assist with a wide range of projects/tasks which require excellent written and organisation skills. At the same time, the role provides the opportunity to develop dedicated skills in policy, project management, and budget preparation.
  • This is a great opportunity to get a good understanding of how the NSW Health system operates in the context of dealing with Central Agencies, other health agencies and Local Health Districts/Specialty Health Networks.
