We currently have an opportunity for a Tourism and Marketing Lead to join our Tourism team at Kiama Council.
In the role of Tourism and Marketing Lead you will:
- Work collaboratively within the Destination Kiama / Kiama Municipal Council Tourism and Events team to support sustainable growth of tourism and events.
- Plan, manage, deliver and report success of all marketing functions for the Destination Kiama brand.
- Implement targeted marketing strategies aligned with various strategies and policies.
- Drive visitation, enhance the visitor experience, and support the local economy through effective destination marketing.
- Ensure brand consistency and high-quality content across all channels and campaigns.
What we offer...
- Temporary part-time role, 17.5 hours per week until 7 November 2025 (temporary job share arrangement)
- Weekly salary from $743.78 to $820.01 calculated on a 17.5 hour working week (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Plus 12% superannuation.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
- A Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Public Relations, and/or extensive experience in a relevant field
- Experience working in tourism destination marketing, and/or tourism industry development
- Extensive experience with Content Management Systems for the effective creation of website, digital, social media and print content
- A knowledge and understanding of the local Kiama and Regional South Coast tourism experiences
- The ability to manage time and priorities in line with organisational objectives and needs along with a willingness to conduct duties outside of core hours when required
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- A Class C Drivers Licence.
