Talent International is searching for an experienced Business Analyst to join our government client based in Brisbane CBD on a contract through to 19 December 2025, with likely extensions.

The role:
You will play a key role in a business transformation project for the Queensland Worker Screening Program, working across Blue Card Services and Disability Worker Screening. The role focuses on identifying and implementing process and technology improvements to support more efficient service delivery. You'll work closely with stakeholders and project teams to gather and document business requirements, model current and future state processes, and support the delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to capture business needs and improvement opportunities
• Analyse current state business processes and identify areas for streamlining or automation
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Model business processes using best-practice tools (e.g., BPMN, UML)
• Support solution design, UAT planning, and change documentation
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to project reporting and assurance activities as required
  
  Requirements:
• 3+ years' experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and process modelling
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience in both Agile and PRINCE2 project environments
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BABOK, BPMN, UML)
• Background in public sector, worker screening, or regulatory environments (highly regarded)
