About the role

SEQ Drilling is seeking experienced HDD Drillers and Trackers to join our growing team in Narangba, Queensland. This full-time role involves operating drilling equipment and tracking drill heads for major construction projects in the local area. You will be a key part of delivering critical infrastructure that supports the community.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground pipes and cables

Tracking and locating underground utilities to avoid damage during drilling operations

Performing daily maintenance and pre-start checks on drilling rigs and support equipment

Working as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard

Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

Performing a wide range of work from smaller road crossings through to long bores, multi way and large diameter pipe installs for telecommunications, power, water, gas and sewer.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience operating HDD drilling equipment in a construction or civil engineering environment

Strong working knowledge of underground utility detection and avoidance practices

Proven ability to work safely in a team environment and follow standard operating procedures

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations)

A current driver's licence and your own reliable transport to get to the worksite

Experience on both Vermeer and Ditch Witch HDD Rigs

Experience with DCI Tracking equipment

Experience with mud recycling systems and good knowledge of drilling fluids

HC Crash box license highly regarded
