About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional for a builder based South Melbourne office. This full-time role will see you taking ownership of the entire accounts payable function, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

What you'll be doing

Process and reconcile supplier invoices and credit notes in a timely manner

Liaise with suppliers to resolve any invoice discrepancies or queries

Manage the accounts payable ledger, including monitoring aged payables

Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports and accruals

Support the month-end close process

Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and controls

Provide backup support for the wider finance team as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an accounts payable role, preferably within a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Sound knowledge of accounts payable processes and controls
