Apex Orthodontics is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our brand-new practice in Hope Island (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am to 5pm, 32 hours/week). Our aim is to excel in the care of our patients and to work with compassion in a stress-free empowering environment.

We are looking for someone who:

· Communicates with warmth and can easily build rapport.

· Brings a proactive, “can-do” attitude to the team, is self-motivated, and constantly strives for improvement.

· Pays attention to detail, is punctual and works efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Assisting chairside during orthodontic treatments and procedures.

· Preparing, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards.

· Supporting patient care by communicating effectively to ensure a smooth treatment experience.

· Greeting and chatting to patients and parents to make them feel at ease.

The role will provide extensive opportunity for you to grow in the field of orthodontics with support, training and guidance provided in all aspects of modern orthodontic practice including but not limited to digital scanning, manufacture of retainers, taking photographic records and instructing patients on care of their teeth, braces and aligners. You will work directly with a specialist orthodontist.
