About the role
The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn connect and create. The nine branches offer a key front-line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed and motivated Library Assistant to join the City of Sydney Library Services team.
As part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for:
Delivery of exceptional customer experience to connect users with services and collections.
Timely delivery of library resources between library branches.
Supporting users with technology, including printing, eresources and online services.
Supporting library learning programs.
The successful candidate will have experience in:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Providing high quality customer service
Delivery services, including safe vehicle operation and manual handling
Digital literacy and technical support
Applicants must be willing and prepared to undertake weekend work, and work across any of the nine City branches as required.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
