About the role
City of Parramatta are seeking skilled and driven individuals with experience in asphalt labouring to become part of our dynamic team.
As a member of the Asphalt team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Parramatta's Civil Infrastructure assets, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of our vibrant City!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation and repair of asphalt surfaces.
- Use hand and power tools to prepare surfaces for asphalt, such as grading and compacting.
- Operate equipment such as rollers, pavers, and skid steers.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks
- Follow instructions and complete tasks within a set timeframe.
About You
We are seeking skilled candidates with a background in asphalting to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the industry and be familiar with the tools and equipment used and be able to follow instructions to complete tasks within set timeframes.
Qualifications:
- MR Truck licence
- White Card
- TCR and IMP traffic controller certificates or the ability and willingness to obtain the certificate prior to confirmation of employment
What's on offer
This is a permanent full-time opportunity:
- Monday to Friday
- 9-Day Fortnight
- 6.00am-3.00pm
- 38 hours per week
We are offering an attractive salary from $63,897 to $70,362 plus 11.5% superannuation.
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
