About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager based at our corporate offices in either Picton or Perth, Western Australia. This is an exciting new role, that will provide commercial and contractual expertise throughout the project lifecycle, across our various projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the primary purpose is to contribute to successful commercial outcomes by managing commercial opportunities and risks on our existing and future projects.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business or Finance, or the equivalent experience operating in a senior commercial management role
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Understanding of business development within the WA mining services sector
• A leader via influence, with strong negotiation skills
• A demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external client relationships
• Advanced strategic and critical thinking
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Negotiation & Relationship Management: Engage with clients, customers, and suppliers to secure favourable outcomes and maintain strong partnerships
• Contract Leadership: Oversee contract negotiations, execution, and management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company objectives
• Variations & Claims Support: Manage and support contract variations and claims processes in alignment with operational and contractual requirements.
• Commercial Analysis & Strategy: Conduct in - depth financial and commercial assessments to identify new opportunities and improve existing projects. Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, to provide regular updates on project progress, commercial risks, and commercial viability
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Assess commercial risks and develop strategic solutions to minimise financial exposure and operational challenges
• Interdepartmental Support: Act as a commercial advisor to other departments, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with company objectives
